Who We Are

The King's Daughters, founded in 1896, established CHKD in 1961 and remains its largest supporter. As a separate nonprofit, we continue our legacy of caring for children through more than 600+ volunteers across 35+ Circles, who host fundraisers, create handmade gifts for patients, and participate in major events such as RunWalk for the Kids and Moonlight Gala. Each Circle operates with elected officers under the guidance of our Board of Directors and staff, working together to raise funds, friends, and awareness for CHKD.

Our Mission

To provide support to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters through fundraising, volunteerism, leadership and advocacy for the children of southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.
