Who We Are
The Princess Anne Circle could be known as "The Sewing Bee." Our purpose is to make bears to give to each child who has surgery at the CHKD. With the goal of making over 3,000 bears each year, members select and cut fabric squares, trace patterns, stitch bears, stuff bears and finally close seams. Members also make Linens such as Tooth Fairy pillows for patients, hearts for NICU babies, and journal bags. For many years Princess Anne Circle has won the first place awards for the highest total number of bears and the highest total number of Linens. Most importantly, our work goes beyond just crafting. Heartfelt prayers are offered for the children who receive these gifts, infusing each bear with love and hope.
