THE ROLE OF THE KD OFFICE

The KD staff should be informed from the very beginning of each Project. Generally, the Development Assistant of KD will serve as staff Liaison for all Circle Projects.

Staff members can assist Circles in developing procedures, forms, and budgets to facilitate more accurate financial record keeping as well as assist with financial transactions, provide sample invoices, loan cash boxes and to advise Project Chairs as needed.

The staff will oversee all correspondence to ensure consistent, professional and accurate presentation of information; this includes letters and thank-you letters to volunteers, sponsors and vendors, information to other Circles, bulk mailings, etc. All correspondence should be generated by the Project Chairs or Circle Leaders.  The KD staff MUST review correspondence before allowing use of the KD letterhead or name and logo.

The KD office provides publicity in the Circular and can assist the Circle with a publicity plan for the project when needed. The Director of The King's Daughters also serves as Liaison between KD Projects and the CHKD Office of Public Relations. The office may assist Circles with various print services including: flyers, tickets, coloring sheets, bookmarks, posters, programs, brochures, signage, etc.  The standard lead times required are two weeks for the office to produce and then three weeks for outside printing. The office may advise use of outside printer when necessary.
