BENEFITS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF THE KING'S DAUGHTERS

Birthdays are a time for games, cake and ice cream, friends, and of course, presents.  Most of us receive wonderful birthday presents from parents, grandparents and other relatives.  However, the best gift to receive is the warm feeling knowing that you have helped others. The Union of Hands Birthday Club, a project of The King’s Daughters provides this opportunity.   Whether you're turning 9 years old or 99 years old, you are never too old or too young to give and receive "the gift of giving" 

To participate in the Union of Hands Birthday Club, the Birthday Person asks their party guests to consider making a donation to CHKD instead of bringing a present.  Donations will provide toys, games and medical equipment for critically ill children and fund educational programs at the Hospital.   The Birthday Person will receive a gift certificate from Rita's Ice and Moe’s Southwestern Grill as a special thank you gift. 

How It Works: 

• Email us or call 757-625-2845 to receive a Birthday Club party kit. This kit includes your instructions along with the special Birthday Club Envelopes for you to include with your party invitations.
• Send the Envelopes with your invitations to your guests (or you can list the Birthday Club website in an evite).
• Collect the Envelopes at your party – Your guests will seal them to protect their donation privacy.
• Send all the sealed Envelopes to the address provided with your kit.
• After all the donations are received, we will send the Birthday Person a Birthday Club welcoming packet. It will include the total amount collected, and the gift certificates to Cold Stone Creamery and Moe’s Southwestern Grill.
• All funds received will benefit the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters!!
